The AP360-100C is a 100-amp MPPT charge controller designed specifically for high-voltage solar systems. With the ability to handle 360V DC battery banks, it is in a completely different class to the 12V, 24V or 48V controllers usually seen on the market. It is intended for use in commercial solar farms, large industrial off-grid setups and major agricultural projects, where lower-voltage systems would be impractical.

So what does that 360 V rating actually mean in practice? It means you can run your solar array a long way from your battery bank without losing a significant amount of power to cable resistance. If you have ever had to use oversized copper cables just to keep voltage drop within acceptable limits, you will appreciate the benefits of the AP360-100C. Higher voltage means lower current for the same wattage, so you can use smaller, cheaper cables and waste less power as heat. The controller's MPPT tracking achieves 99% efficiency and the overall conversion rate exceeds 98% in real-world conditions. This is power that actually makes it into your batteries.

The AP360-100C runs a three-stage charging routine (bulk, equalisation and float) and can handle sealed lead-acid, AGM, gel, flooded and LiFePO₄ batteries without any issues. There is also a battery-free mode if you just want to run loads directly off solar power during the day. The LCD panel displays input voltage, charge current and battery status, and the RS485 port enables remote monitoring. Protection is provided against over-voltage, under-voltage, reverse polarity and over-temperature, with automatic recovery when conditions return to normal.
