In May 1825 Ohm published in his first scientific paper the decay of the electromagnetic force produced by the electric current as a function of the length of the wire, a paper on Galvanic circuits, but the formula in it was wrong.
In April 1826, Ohm corrected this error and came up with the famous Ohm's law.
In 1827, he published his most famous book, "Mathematical Treatise on Galvanic Circuits", in which he listed formulas, clearly stating that the magnitude of the current in a Galvanic circuit is proportional to the total voltage and inversely proportional to the total resistance of the circuit, the formula Among them, S is the current intensity (I) in the conductor, A is the voltage across the conductor (U), and L is the resistance (R) of the conductor. It can be seen that this is the Ohm's law formula for some circuits today.
In 1876, James Maxwell and his colleagues devised several experimental methods for testing Ohm's law, which specifically highlighted the response of electrical conductors to heating effects.
In previous experiments, Ohm used a voltaic stack, which had an unstable electromotive force that gave him a headache. Later, it was suggested that the bismuth-copper thermocouple was used as the power supply to ensure the stability of the electromotive force of the power supply.
