A solar power system with a total capacity of 66 kW has been successfully installed in Cherangani, Kenya. It uses six 11 kW solar inverters connected in parallel. The system also incorporates a 105 kWh lithium battery energy storage solution comprising seven 300 Ah, 51.2 V lithium batteries. This off-grid system is designed to provide stable and reliable electricity for daily operations.
During the daytime, the solar panels supply power directly to connected loads while charging the battery system. Any excess energy is stored and used when solar generation is low or unavailable. The parallel inverter design improves system flexibility and ensures a stable output under different load conditions.
The lithium battery system offers a long cycle life, high efficiency and low maintenance requirements. Following proper system matching and testing, the installation now operates smoothly and meets daily power requirements.
