This optimization process ensures that the solar cells always operate at the maximum power point to fully utilize the output energy of the solar cell array.

    To realize the full potential of the MPPT solar controller, the array voltage should be much higher than the battery voltage. MPPT solar conditioners are the preferred solution for higher power systems (lowest overall system cost due to smaller cable cross-section). MPPT solar conditioners will also get more energy when the solar cell temperature is low (below 45°C) or very high (above 75°C) or the irradiance is very low.
