There are two main types of inverters - modified sine wave inverters and pure sine wave inverters. Alternating current is different from direct current in that its current direction changes periodically over time and propagates in a waveform.

How much inverter to choose

Here, we see a lot of people go astray. Think bigger is better. Of course, you don't want it to be too small, because then you won't be able to get enough power. But there are also too big problems.

Inverters are sized based on the wattage (power) they can output. Most inverters are marked with continuous output power and peak output power.

Continuous output power: The rated output power, which is the power output by the inverter in normal use.

Peak output power: This is the maximum output power that the inverter can handle for a short period of time. It is designed so that the "start-up" load of many devices is significantly higher than their operating load. For example, a refrigerator compressor can draw 100W when it starts, but stabilizes at 50W after a few seconds.

The first task is to list the appliances you will be using at the same time, adding up their maximum power. For some appliances that will not be used together, take the larger one. Then select an inverter with an output power higher than that load (120%).
