The rapid development of modern industry has greatly improved people's quality of life, but it has also led to a global energy crisis and excessive pollution of the natural environment. Solar energy has been widely used as a pollution-free renewable energy source, but in most cases the utilization rate of solar energy is low. In order to improve its utilization rate, this paper designs a solar panel automatic tracking system. The system uses the STC89C52RC single-chip microcomputer as the core processor, and adopts the method of combining the photoelectric tracking method and the solar motion trajectory tracking method. When it is sunny, the system runs the photoelectric tracking method, and recognizes the orientation by comparing the light intensity deviation collected by the four photoresistors, and then drives the stepping motor to adjust to realize the photoelectric tracking. When it is cloudy, the system runs the tracking method based on the sun's trajectory, by collecting the time information of the clock chip, and using the sun position algorithm to calculate the local sun altitude and azimuth at the time, and issuing corresponding instructions to drive the stepper motor to adjust to realize the sun's movement Tracking. This article tests these two tracking methods separately. The photoelectric tracking method is tested by comparing the tracking effect of the fixed solar panel and the self-tracking solar panel, and it is found that the tracking effect of the self-tracking solar panel is better. The test of the trajectory tracking method based on the sun is to compare the calculated angle value with the theoretical angle value, and analyze that the error does not exceed plus or minus 0.4°. The test results show that the solar panel automatic tracking system can adapt to complex weather conditions and achieve all-weather sun tracking.
