Configuring an energy storage system for a wind farm is a preferred solution. This paper adopts the solution of configuring a hydraulic energy storage system in a wind farm. Based on the introduction of the basic theories of wind power and hydraulic energy storage, a wind-hydropower joint optimized operation is established The optimal benefit model of the wind farm; a Gaussian model for smoothing the active power output of the wind farm is proposed; based on the benefit model and the Gaussian model, this paper also proposes a comprehensive model that considers the smooth output of the wind farm power and the operating benefit at the same time. Then, the hybrid genetic algorithm based on local elastic search is used to optimize the simulation calculation of wind farm operation benefits and active power smooth output of the wind-hydropower combined power supply system. The simulation results show that the wind farm is equipped with a hydraulic energy storage system. Improving the operating efficiency of wind farms can also reduce the fluctuation of active power output of wind farms, and realize the smooth output of active power of wind farms.
