What is a resistor?
1. Principle
The resistor is composed of three parts: the resistor body, the skeleton and the lead-out terminal (the resistor body and the skeleton of the solid core resistor are combined into one), and only the resistor body determines the resistance value.
Usually, resistors are defined according to Ohm's law. When a constant voltage is applied to the resistor, how much current will be generated; it can also be defined by Joule's law. When a current flows through the resistor, how much heat will be generated per unit time.

1. Current limiting
Sometimes a group of tens of milliamps of power is needed in the circuit, but its voltage cannot be used elsewhere in the circuit. At this time, it is not suitable to use a group of DCDC or LDO alone, because the current is too small. At this time, a Zener tube voltage regulator circuit can be used.
2. Partial pressure
Voltage divider such as ADC sampling circuit, DCDC output voltage feedback, level conversion and so on.
3. Low-power resistors are usually made of carbon film encapsulated in a plastic casing, while high-power resistors are usually wire-wound resistors, which are made by winding a high-resistivity metal wire around a porcelain core.
