What is Mppt (Maximum Power Point Tracking)?
We use the MPPT algorithm to extract the maximum available power from the PV modules under certain conditions. MPPT is one of the most popular tools to help us use solar energy (renewable energy) in an efficient way. If we want to reduce our carbon footprint map then we have to turn to clean energy, this is so called renewable energy (energy that we can get from natural resources) like SOLAR, HYDRO, WIND etc, otherwise we will go directly to global warming .
How does MPPT work? Why is a 150W solar panel not equal to 150 watts?
For example, you buy a new solar panel from the market that can supply 7 amps, and the battery's setting is configured to 12 volts while charging: 7 amps times 12 volts = 84 watts (P = V * I) You lose 66 watts - but you paid 150 watts. That 66 watts isn't going anywhere, but due to the mismatch of solar output current and battery voltage.
