The DC-DC converter is a DC conversion device that first inverts DC power into AC power, and then rectifies and transforms it into another DC voltage. Let's learn how it works.
According to the actual analysis, the power supply provides IC1 with a voltage of about +12V through D2 and R1. The 6-pin output pulse is coupled by C4 and a transformer to drive Q1 to oscillate. When Q1 is turned on, the output current passes through L and is filtered by C9 to supply power to the load. When Q1 is off, the magnetic energy of the transformer-type inductor B3 is transformed into electric energy, and its polarity is negative on the left and positive on the right. The freewheeling diode D4 is turned on, and the current continues to supply power to the load through the diode, so that the load gets a smooth DC. When the output voltage is too low Or when it is too high, the sampled voltage obtained from the voltage divider circuit composed of resistors R11, R10, and R9 is sent to IC12 pin 2 and compared with the internal 2.5V reference voltage to control the Q1 conduction pulse width, so as to stabilize the output voltage. When the load current is short-circuited or exceeds 8A, the rising of the voltage of IC1 3 pin will control the pulse width to make Q1 cut off to ensure the safety of Q1.
