Principle of AC Voltage Measurement Circuit

1. AC voltage measurement circuit

The magnetoelectric instrument cannot be directly used to measure alternating current, it must be equipped with a rectifier circuit to measure alternating current.

AC voltage is usually expressed in rms, so the scale of the multimeter also refers to the rms. However, the current after rectification is an average value, so the efficiency of the rectifier element needs to be considered.

After determining the total efficiency of the rectifier circuit, and then calculating the AC voltage sensitivity, the internal resistance of each gear can be calculated.

The AC voltage measurement circuit is shown in the figure. In the figure, RS is the shunt resistance of the DC current gear, V1 and V2 are the rectifier elements, R11 to R14 are the step-down resistors of each voltage measurement gear, and some multimeters also use the step-down resistor and the DC voltage gear. 2. the working principle of the AC voltage measurement circuit
